Ziggy Marley - Family Time

EVERY once in a while there is an album that’s uplifting and puts a smile on your face every time you listen to it. For me, Family Time by Ziggy Marley is one such production. There is no doubt that Ziggy’s more illustrious father Bob Marley lends credence to his name, but that does not mean that Ziggy’s music is forgettable. Far from it!

Ziggy has four Grammy Awards under his belt including best reggae album in 2007 for Loving is My Religion.

He continues his good work with an album that is suitable for kids and adults alike. It kicks off with the title track and the message from this song sets the tone for the rest of the album – the importance of family.

With the infectious reggae beats featuring a star-studded guest list, I can’t find cause to complain. Every song here is superb but if I had the tough choice of picking the best, they would be Cry, Cry, Cry (with Jack Johnson and Paula Fuga), Ziggy Says and Wings of an Eagle(with Elizabeth Mitchell).

Jamie Lee Curtis concludes Family Time by narrating two stories – both with a message. Your morale could really be lifted after listening to this album.

"High and Dry" is a song by the English alternative rock band Radiohead, and was the first single released from their second album, The Bends (1995). It was as a double A-side with album opener "Planet Telex". "High and Dry" was released in the UK on 5 March 1995 and remains one of the band's most popular radio hits, despite reaching only #17 upon release.

"High and Dry" was recorded during the Pablo Honey sessions but was dismissed by the band, who thought that it sounded like a Rod Stewart song. However, during the sessions for The Bends it was rediscovered and remastered, as it was felt that it worked well with the rest of the album's content. The version that appears on the album is the original demo; it was never re-recorded.

The song is widely regarded as Radiohead's most accessible pop hit, and was a live favourite, though it has not been performed in a decade. In a 2007 interview with Pitchfork, Thom Yorke stated that he did not like the song, saying "It's not bad... it's very bad". He also stated that he was pressured into including the song on The Bends. The song is featured in the background of a scene in the movie I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.

Mafia Wars is a multiplayer browser game created by Zynga. As of June 2009, the game has more than 2,500,000 users. It has won the Webby award for People's Voice Winner.

Mafia Wars is available on Facebook, Myspace, Tagged, and Yahoo. On April 8, 2009, Zynga released the game as a free downloadable iPhone App.

Mafia Wars is set in New York City, with the option for players to travel between New York and Cuba once they reach level 35.The game revolves around doing jobs to earn cash and advancing one's criminal empire. Players can also create mafias by recruiting players. Social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Friendster allow players to recruit from within their friends network to build their mafia and fight against other players. Players can also improve their stats by visiting the Godfather or making a micropayment.

Gameplay revolves around timers: players have limited energy, health, and stamina meters that slowly fill up over time. Using other mafia members that they have recruited, players can also fight other mafias. This results in the stealing of cash from the attacked mafia. The game operates on a level up basis. The player earns experience points by completing jobs. As they level up, more jobs become available, and extra features become available, such as robbing other mafias and visiting Cuba to expand their criminal empire.

The makers of a similar online game, Mob Wars, is suing Zynga over their launch of Mafia Wars, accusing them of copyright infringement. Zynga made some changes to Mafia Wars so it doesn't resemble Mob Wars as closely, but David Maestri and Psycho Monkey are pressing forward with their lawsuit.
